    SPEI: the backbone of Mexican betting payments

    SPEI is the Bank of Mexico's interbank payment system, and it does most of the work at Mexican sportsbooks. All four licensed sites we review accept SPEI deposits, and it is the main withdrawal route at each of them. To deposit, you transfer money from your banking app to the CLABE shown in the sportsbook's cashier, often with a reference that links the payment to your account.

    Getting SPEI withdrawals right

    The most common reason an SPEI withdrawal fails is a name mismatch. The 18-digit CLABE you enter must belong to an account held in the same name as your betting account, and sportsbooks will not pay to a relative's or friend's account.
