Combat sports for Italian bettors
UFC and boxing are a smaller slice of the Italian market than football or tennis, but they attract a dedicated audience. UFC cards usually run late on Saturday night European time, with the main card often finishing in the early hours of Sunday, while major boxing nights are spread across the year and can take place anywhere from London to Riyadh. Italian fans follow home-grown fighters in both sports, and big heavyweight bouts draw interest well beyond regular combat fans.
Because events are irregular and often scheduled late, the key questions for a combat sportsbook are simple: does it price the full card or only the headliners, does it offer method-of-victory and round markets, and is it easy to use on a phone in the middle of the night?
Eurobet and bwin lead on depth
Eurobet and bwin are the only two sportsbooks here with wide combat coverage in our testing, and they take the top two places. Eurobet goes first on overall score (8.5, level with bwin but ahead on odds and payouts); its combat menu reaches beyond the headline bouts, and it shares the longest payment list in our Italian test with William Hill, including PostePay and Paysafecard. bwin is close behind, with strong live betting that lets you follow round-by-round odds and polished iOS and Android apps.
LeoVegas, 888sport, William Hill and Gioco Digitale cover the main UFC and boxing events. For a headline fight that is usually enough, and LeoVegas in particular is very comfortable to use on mobile thanks to its 9.5 app rating. Where they fall behind is on preliminary cards and less prominent boxing shows, where the market list can be short or missing.
Note that Eurobet, bwin and Gioco Digitale are all operated by Eurobet Italia S.r.l. under separate ADM concessions, so they share a corporate owner but run their own sites and accounts.
Understanding combat markets
Fight betting has a few quirks that catch out newcomers:
- Check how a draw is settled on the fight winner market; in boxing it is often a separate outcome at long odds.
- Method of victory (knockout, submission or decision) and round betting pay more but are much harder to predict.
- Late withdrawals and replacement opponents are common; read the rules on how bets are voided or kept.
- Weigh-in results the day before can change the picture, so it pays not to bet too early.
Keep it to the fight you planned
All six sites are ADM-licensed, show their GAD concession number in the footer and are for players aged 18 and over. Late-night betting can make it harder to stick to a plan, so decide your stake before the main card starts and use the deposit and time limits in your account. If betting is no longer fun, the national helpline on 800 558 822 is free and anonymous.
