How we ranked them

We compared every sportsbook licensed in the UK on how many NFL competitions and markets it covers, from the biggest events to lower leagues and player props. Books with a recognised strength in NFL rank first; ties are broken by our overall review score.

What to look for

  • Player props for passing, rushing and receiving yards
  • Same-game parlays with fair pricing
  • Futures on division winners, MVP and the Super Bowl
  • Live betting between plays and drives

The NFL's growing British following

American football has a large and loyal audience in Britain. The NFL's regular-season games in London, played at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and Wembley, have turned casual viewers into weekly fans, and Sunday evening has become a fixture for many UK households: the early games start at around 6pm UK time, the late window follows, and Sunday and Monday night football run into the early hours.

For bettors, that schedule is friendlier than the NBA's. You can follow the 6pm kick-offs live, bet in play, and still have plenty of pre-match markets for the later games. The Super Bowl in February is one of the biggest single betting events of the year for UK sportsbooks.

Betway leads, with BetMGM close behind

Betway is the only sportsbook in our UK list with excellent NFL markets, and that is why it takes first place here despite sitting lower in the overall ranking. Its clean app, rated 8.8, makes it simple to build a Sunday coupon across several games, and the NFL section is laid out with spreads, totals and moneylines side by side.

BetMGM is second. As a brand with roots in the US market, it has wide NFL coverage including player props such as passing yards and anytime touchdown scorer, and its live streaming support helps for in-play betting. LeoVegas, bet365 and William Hill also give wide coverage of every regular-season game and the play-offs, while VBet and Highbet focus on the main events.

NFL markets in UK terms

UK bookmakers use a mix of British and American terminology for the NFL. The most useful markets to understand are:

  • Handicap or point spread: the favourite has to win by more than the line.
  • Total points: over or under the combined score, including overtime.
  • Anytime touchdown scorer: one of the most popular player markets on UK sites.
  • Passing, rushing and receiving yards: player props that depend heavily on game plan and weather.
  • Futures: division winner, conference winner and Super Bowl outright, priced all season.

Tips for following the season

Injury reports land through the week and final inactive lists are confirmed about 90 minutes before kick-off. If you bet early on a Sunday, check how your sportsbook treats player props when the player is ruled out.

A full NFL Sunday can mean eight hours of games, so it is worth deciding how much you are prepared to spend for the whole evening rather than game by game. Deposit limits and time-out tools are available on every UK-licensed site in this list.
