How we ranked them

We compared every sportsbook licensed in the UK on how many UFC & boxing competitions and markets it covers, from the biggest events to lower leagues and player props. Books with a recognised strength in UFC & boxing rank first; ties are broken by our overall review score.

What to look for

  • Method of victory and round betting markets
  • Coverage of undercard fights, not just the main event
  • Clear rules on fights that are cancelled or end in a draw
  • Odds boosts on big fight nights

Combat sports betting in the UK

Boxing has a long British tradition, and big domestic heavyweight and super-middleweight fights fill stadiums in London, Manchester and Cardiff. UFC has grown fast too, with regular UK cards and late-night pay-per-view events from Las Vegas that main-event fans stay up for.

Fight betting has a different rhythm from team sports. There may be weeks between big events, then a single card with a dozen bouts and hundreds of markets. The best sportsbooks for combat sports price undercard fights as well as the main event and offer detailed method and round markets.

BetMGM, LeoVegas and bet365 at the top

BetMGM leads this ranking. Its US background gives it good coverage of UFC cards, including preliminary fights, and its live streaming support helps on big nights. With a 9.2 markets rating, it offers round betting, method of victory and fight-goes-the-distance markets on most bouts.

LeoVegas is second, mainly because its app (rated 9.5, the best on our UK list) makes betting between rounds quick and simple. bet365, in third, has the strongest odds rating of the three at 9.4 and broad coverage of both boxing and MMA, though its dense interface takes more getting used to on a phone.

William Hill, Unibet, Betfred and Betway cover all major fights. VBet and Highbet concentrate on the main events, which is fine for occasional fans but less useful if you follow the undercards.

Fight markets worth knowing

Moneyline-style fight winner bets are only the start. Popular combat sports markets include:

  • Method of victory: KO/TKO, submission (UFC) or decision.
  • Round betting: the exact round in which a fight ends.
  • Fight to go the distance: a yes or no bet on whether it reaches the judges.
  • Total rounds: over or under a set number of rounds.
  • Draw: a separate outcome in boxing; a draw-no-bet market returns your stake if the fight ends level.

Weigh-ins, late changes and limits

Fights get cancelled or reshuffled more often than most events, sometimes after the weigh-in. Check each sportsbook's rules on replacement opponents and changed fight lengths before betting early. With main events often starting after midnight in the UK, it is worth setting a deposit limit before the card begins rather than deciding on the night.

Scorecards are another source of surprise. A fight you thought was clear can go to a split decision, and judges in boxing often see close rounds differently from TV commentators. That is one reason many experienced fight bettors prefer method of victory or distance markets, which depend less on how three ringside officials score a tight contest.
